Last week we were invited to a faculty meeting and asked to make a list of new initiatives for this year. I almost lost my mind to learn that there were over 20 just this year alone. How is this humanely possible?
Sometimes I feel like the more I'm asked to do, the less effective a teacher I am. There has to be a healthy balance between taking on new things and growing what we've had in the past.
Furthermore, I can't even have buy in on all the initiates that may or may not be in existence the following year. Sigh.
Hang in there! Everyone gets so excited about helping kids that they sometimes can’t see the forest for the trees. Good teaching will prevail!
