Amazing Day
My 8th grade students got to see the potential outcomes of our Virtual Reality programming experiment today. The students have been learning to create and program a virtual world designed to help students in other grade levels with academic subjects.
Today we got to sample our first two groups' projects. One group created a jungle environment to tour. The second group created a forest where visitors search for the letters of the alphabet and grab them.
The students had so much fun actually viewing the worlds they created on our VR headsets and literally walking through their projects! Everyone wanted a turn!

This is how we meet them where they are. Our students should get the opportunity to experience what the future holds and who knows if this when they realize their career path. So happy that your students had the chance to experience VR.
ReplyDeleteWow! This is amazing!! It would be great to share with an elementary or Pre-K class!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool! What kind of programming software did they use? I would love to look into something like this for my students. Maybe creating their own ecosystems or something.
